PA Lottery Cash 5 Prize Worth $125,000 Soon to Expire - Unclaimed, Jackpot-Winning Ticket Sold in Warren County

Middletown – Check your tickets: a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket worth $125,000 from the May 15, 2013, drawing is approaching its one-year expiration date and must be claimed by Thursday, May 15, 2014.

The Cash 5 ticket correctly matched all five numbers drawn, 07-15-20-26-28, to win $125,000, less 25 percent federal withholding. It was sold at Kwik Fill, 4170 Market St., Warren.

“We urge players to scan every ticket, every time -- even tickets they think may not be winners,” said Lottery Executive Director Sil Lutkewitte. “No matter the size of the prize, we never like to see any prize go unclaimed.”

Players may check their own tickets using self-service scanners located at retailers and also found on Lottery self-service play terminals. The PA Lottery reminds players to sign tickets immediately upon their purchase for proof of ownership.

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the ticket-holder to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a timely claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices and from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at headquarters.

By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.

In the 2012-13 fiscal year, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $3.7 million to programs that benefit Warren County’s older residents.

How to play Cash 5: To play Cash 5, players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43.
