Mega Millions, Powerball Tickets Worth $5 Million Sold in Lancaster, Philadelphia & Luzerne Counties; Both Jackpots Roll Again

Middletown, PA – Mega Millions® and Powerball® prizes totaling $5 million were won in Pennsylvania before the jackpots for both games rolled to total $441 million.

A Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in Lancaster County for Friday’s drawing. Two Powerball tickets each worth $2 million for Saturday’s drawing were sold by retailers in Luzerne County and Philadelphia.

The Mega Millions ticket for the May 29 drawing matched all five white balls drawn, 20-27-38-49-66, but not the yellow Megaball 02, to win a prize of $1 million, less 25 percent federal withholding.

The retailer, Turkey Hill, 1010 Sharp Ave., Ephrata, Lancaster County, earns a $5,000 bonus.

The Powerball tickets matched all five white balls drawn, 08-09-25-56-57, but not the red Powerball 22, to win prizes of $2 million, less 25 percent federal withholding. Each was sold with the $1 Power Play® option, which boosted the prize to $2 million instead of $1 million.

Nelly Travel Plaza, 3765 Nuangola Road, Nuangola, Luzerne County, and Ridge Shell, 8965 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, each earn a $10,000 bonus.

Prizes must be claimed and winning tickets validated before winners can be identified. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

The Lottery encourages the holders of the winning tickets to sign the back of the tickets, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file claims at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices and at headquarters from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
