Pennsylvania Lottery Opens ‘Cash For A Year’ Second-Chance Drawing for Cash4Life™

Middletown, PA – The Pennsylvania Lottery has launched the Cash For A Year Second-Chance Drawing, the Lottery’s first second-chance opportunity featuring the new $2 Cash4Life™ game.

The drawing will award one top prize of $1,000 a day for a year to be paid as a $365,000 lump sum prize, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Each Pennsylvania Lottery Cash4Life ticket purchased between May 5 and June 4, 2015 will include a 25-digit Second-Chance Prize Zone™ Official Entry Code at the top of the ticket.

Players may enter the code at palottery.com to get entries into the Cash For A Year Second-Chance Drawing. Tickets can also be entered via the free PA Lottery official app, available through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

With each ticket submitted, the player will receive a number of entries into the drawing equal to the dollar value of the ticket.

To ensure that entry codes remain legible, Cash4Life game tickets should be entered into the second-chance drawing before they are presented for prize validation and payment.

Entry for all second-chance opportunities must take place via the VIP Players Club at palottery.com or the official smartphone app. Mailed entries will be disqualified.
Visit palottery.com for entry, prizes, rules and drawing information. Void where prohibited.

How to play Cash4Life: Each play costs $2. Players choose five numbers from 1-60 and one number from 1-4, the green Cash Ball. Players may choose their own numbers using a playslip or opt for computer-selected Quick Pick numbers. Cash4Life offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, a second prize of $1,000 a week for life, plus seven other ways to win. Drawings are held each Monday and Thursday at 9 p.m. and tickets can be purchased up to 10 draws in advance. Approximate chances of winning: top prize: 1 in 21.8 million; second prize: 1 in 7.3 million; overall/any prize: 1 in 8.

Cash4Life is also played in New York, New Jersey and Virginia. As with any multi-state game, all prizes must be cashed in the state where the winning ticket was sold.

The Cash For A Year Second-Chance Drawing is offered only in Pennsylvania. Tickets purchased in other states are not eligible for entry into Pennsylvania’s drawing.
