PA Lottery Funds Property Tax and Rent Rebates – Every Day!
Did you know that the Pennsylvania Lottery started in 1971 as a way to fund property tax relief for older residents? Dauphin County resident Ruth Billow benefits from this program – which receives vital support from the Pennsylvania Lottery – every day!
Last year, the Pennsylvania Lottery helped fund property tax and rent rebates for more than 603,000 households across the state. That translates into more than $282 million in funding for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. Older Pennsylvanians who qualify for the program can receive up to $975 as a rebate on property taxes or rent paid the prior year.
Do you think you or someone you know might qualify? Call the Property Tax/Rent Rebate hotline, toll-free, at 1-888-222-9190 or visit www.revenue.state.pa.us for more information.
