Four Tickets Split Cash 5 Jackpot of More Than $1.5 Million - Winning Tickets Sold in Northampton, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties

Middletown– Four jackpot-winning Cash 5 tickets worth more than $375,000 each from the June 8 drawing were sold at the following locations:

Tom’s Tobacco Shop, 1880 Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem, Northampton County;
Friendly Food Mart, 801 W. Main St., Lansdale, Montgomery County;
CNBC News, Terminal C, Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia; and
Philly Donut, 6508 Woodland Ave., Philadelphia
Each ticket correctly matched all five balls, 03-15-19-27-41, to split a jackpot of $1,519,744 and win individual prizes of $379,936, less 25-percent federal withholding.

Each retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling a winning ticket.

Lottery officials cannot confirm the identities of the winners until the prizes are claimed and the tickets are validated. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

The Lottery encourages each holder of a winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery’s seven area offices.

Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.

Last fiscal year, the Pennsylvania Lottery awarded more than $34.6 million, $81.6 million and $270.4 million in prizes to Northampton, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, respectively. The Lottery also contributed $23.6 million to programs that benefited seniors in Northampton County, $48.1 million to programs benefiting Montgomery county seniors and another $235.4 million to Philadelphia seniors’ programs.

How to play Cash 5: To play Cash 5, players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-962,598; the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1-in-10.5.
