Pennsylvania Lottery Website Voted Best in U.S. by Industry Peers

Middletown – The Pennsylvania Lottery’s website, www.palottery.com, was voted best website at the 2014 North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) Annual Conference.

“We’re proud that our industry peers recognize the extensive work that went into developing our current website,” said Lottery Executive Director Sil Lutkewitte. “From its launch more than 16 years ago, palottery.com has continued to evolve to better serve our players’ needs and make it easier for them to interact with us.”

The Pennsylvania Lottery’s original website debuted in early 1998. Since that time, the Lottery consistently has added many features and enhancements to improve the appearance and functionality of the site while increasing player engagement. The website was comprehensively redesigned in 2012 and has undergone numerous refinements since.

In addition to offering extensive information about Lottery games and how to claim a prize, the website features a VIP Players Club and Second Chance Prize Zone™ where players can enter second-chance drawings. Players can also sign up to receive special offers, coupons, drawing results and Lottery news.

The website also features extensive information about Lottery-funded benefits and services for older Pennsylvanians; information to promote responsible play and the availability of help for compulsive gambling; a retailer locator; and important player security tips.

About the Pennsylvania Lottery: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since its inception in 1971, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed more than $24.7 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free transit and reduced-fare shared rides; the low-cost prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term living services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state.

The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players to check every ticket, every time. Players must be 18 or older. Please play responsibly. For help with a gambling problem, call 1-800-848-1880.
