Middletown, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery Cash4Life® ticket worth $1,000 a week for life, or a cash prize of $1 million, will expire if not claimed by September 14.
 
“We sincerely hope this winner will come forward to claim their prize – after all, that’s what playing the Lottery is all about,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “We truly do not like to see any prize go unclaimed, which is why we actively remind players to check every ticket, every time.”
 
The winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash4Life ticket was sold by Price Chopper, 4551 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg, Monroe County for the September 14, 2015, drawing. A prize claim must be filed at Lottery headquarters by Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
 
It correctly matched all five balls drawn, 03-07-14-19-25, but not the green Cash Ball, 02, to win an annuity prize valued at $1,000 a week ($52,000 a year) for life or a cash prize of $1 million, less applicable tax withholding.
 
The ticket holder should sign the back of their ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a timely claim. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the headquarters office in Middletown, Dauphin County.
 
By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians. Although some lotteries give players only 90 or 180 days to claim a prize, Pennsylvania Lottery prizes may be claimed on a business day up to one year from the drawing date.
 
Fortunately, the vast majority of Lottery prizes are claimed. Last year, the Pennsylvania Lottery paid a record of more than $2.6 billion in prizes to winners across the state.
 
Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time, at self-service scanners located at retailers and also found on Lottery self-service play terminals. The Lottery reminds players to sign tickets immediately upon their purchase for proof of ownership.
