Limited Millionaire Raffle Tickets Remain for Jan. 7 Drawing

Middletown, PA – Fewer than 250,000 tickets remain for the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle drawing on January 7, 2017, offering the Pennsylvania Lottery’s best chances of winning a $1 million prize. The game reached the half-sold point on Saturday, December 17.

Tickets for Millionaire Raffle are available until 8 p.m. on the drawing date, unless sold out sooner. Ticket sales for this edition started November 8.

Winning Millionaire Raffle numbers are randomly selected from among ticket numbers sold. If all 500,000 available tickets are sold, each $20 ticket offers a 1 in 125,000 chance of winning one of the $1 million top prizes. The overall chances of winning any prize in the main game drawing are 1 in 83.33. The game’s prize levels are:

  • Four prizes of $1 million;
  • Four prizes of $100,000;
  • 100 prizes of $1,000; and
  • 5,892 prizes of $100.

Each ticket features a unique, eight-digit number issued sequentially as tickets are sold across the state, starting at 00000001 and ending at 00500000. To win, the number on the ticket must exactly match a winning number selected in the drawing, with all digits in the same sequence.

On January 7, winning New Year’s Millionaire Raffle numbers will be randomly selected after 8 p.m. and announced after 10 p.m. at palottery.com. Players should also check their tickets using scanners found at Lottery retailers.

This is the first edition of Millionaire Raffle to feature Early Bird Bonus Drawings during the first six weeks of ticket sales, with each drawing awarding three $50,000 prizes. After checking the Early Bird Bonus Drawing results at palottery.com, players are reminded to keep their tickets for the Millionaire Raffle game drawing on January 7, 2017. It is possible for a ticket to win in both drawings.
