Middletown, PA – Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 drawings awarded jackpots worth a combined total of $1.25 million in Montgomery, Somerset and Bucks counties over the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • For the Wednesday, November 23, drawing, one jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket worth $800,000 was sold at Wawa, 1145 Virginia Ave, Fort Washington, Montgomery County. The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 03-04-14-18-24, to win a prize of $800,000, less applicable tax withholding. The retailer earns a $5,000 selling bonus.
  • Cash 5 produced another big winner on Thursday, November 24, when a $125,000 jackpot was won by a ticket sold at Confluence Food Mart, 511 Williams St., Confluence, Somerset County. The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 02-12-18-24-38, to win $125,000, less applicable tax withholding. The retailer will earn a $500 selling bonus. 
  • On Sunday, November 27, a Cash 5 jackpot of $325,000 was won by a ticket sold at United Cut Rate Store, 19 E. Bridge St., Morrisville, Bucks County. The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 04-26-28-38-39, to win $325,000, less applicable tax withholding. The retailer will earn a $500 selling bonus.
Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before winners can be identified. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
 
The Lottery encourages claimants of large prizes to sign the back of their ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.
 
Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at headquarters.
 
More than 114,200 other Cash 5 tickets won prizes of various amounts in the November 23, 24 and 27 drawings, creating “Winners, winners – everywhere!” Players should check every ticket, every time. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.
 
In the 2015-16 fiscal year: In Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Lottery awarded more than $105.2 million in prizes to winners and provided more than $37 million to programs that benefit older residents. In Montgomery County, the Lottery awarded more than $125.2 million in prizes and contributed more than $54.4 million to programs serving the county’s older residents. In Somerset County, the Pennsylvania Lottery awarded more than $14.4 million in prizes to winners and provided more than $10.5 million to programs that benefit older residents.
 
How to play Cash 5: To play Cash 5, players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-962,598; the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1-in-10.5.
