Millionaire Raffle Returns With NEW Early Bird Bonus Drawings

Middletown, PA – Tickets are now on sale for the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle, offering the Pennsylvania Lottery’s best chances of winning a $1 million prize – plus, new Early Bird Bonus Drawings featuring 18 additional $50,000 prizes.

“We’ve increased the fun factor of playing Millionaire Raffle by offering Early Bird Bonus Drawings during the first six weeks of ticket sales,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “We will award $900,000 in bonus prizes before the game’s drawing even takes place.”

Only 500,000 tickets are available for the Millionaire Raffle game drawing on January 7, 2017, which features 6,000 cash prizes totaling more than $5 million. Tickets will be available until 8 p.m. on the drawing date or until sold out.

Winning Millionaire Raffle numbers are randomly selected from among ticket numbers sold. If all available tickets are sold, each $20 ticket offers a 1 in 125,000 chance of winning one of the $1 million top prizes. The overall chances of winning any prize are 1 in 83.33. The game’s prize levels are:

  • Four prizes of $1 million
  • Four prizes of $100,000
  • 100 prizes of $1,000
  • 5,892 prizes of $100

Each ticket features a unique, eight-digit number issued sequentially as tickets are sold across the state, starting at 00000001 and ending at 00500000. To win, the number on the ticket must exactly match a winning number selected in the drawing, with all digits in the same sequence.

On January 7, winning New Year’s Millionaire Raffle numbers will be randomly selected after 8 p.m. and announced after 10 p.m. at palottery.com. Players should also check their tickets using scanners found at Lottery retailers.

NEW: Early Bird Bonus Drawings

Six weekly Early Bird Bonus Drawings will each award three prizes of $50,000, for a total of 18 prizes. Players do not need to take any extra steps to enter these drawings.

Winning Early Bird Bonus Drawing ticket numbers will be randomly selected from among Millionaire Raffle ticket numbers sold during each of the first six weeks of game sales. The Early Bird Bonus Drawing purchase periods are:

  • Drawing 1: Tickets sold from November 8 to November 14, 2016.
  • Drawing 2: Tickets sold from November 15 to November 21, 2016.
  • Drawing 3: Tickets sold from November 22 to November 28, 2016.

  • Drawing 5: Tickets sold from December 6 to December 12, 2016.
  • Drawing 6: Tickets sold from December 13 to December 19, 2016.

Each drawing will include only the Millionaire Raffle ticket numbers sold during that qualifying one-week purchase period, and only an exact match will win. The winning Early Bird Bonus Drawing ticket numbers will be posted each week at palottery.com.

Early Bird Bonus Drawing prizes must be claimed in person at one of the seven Pennsylvania Lottery offices located across the state and cannot be claimed at a retailer or by mail. See official rules and prize claim instructions at palottery.com.
