Middletown, PA – A scheduled change to the Mega Millions® multi-state jackpot game means the number of advance draws available for purchase are temporarily limited.
In Pennsylvania, Mega Millions tickets may normally be purchased up to 26 draws, or 13 weeks, in advance. Effective today, the number of advance draws available will continue to decrease by one, after each drawing, until the October 27 drawing.
Starting with the October 31 drawing, Mega Millions will offer a revised game matrix and a new base ticket price of $2. Additional details will be announced this fall. The game’s current configuration is detailed at the
Mega Millions page at palottery.com.
Since the Pennsylvania Lottery joined the game in 2010, Mega Millions players in this state have won two jackpots worth $86.7 million and $91.8 million (cash), as well as nearly $182 million in other prizes.
About Us: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to
programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed nearly $27 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance, and local services including senior centers and meals.
Players must be 18 or older.
