Middletown, PA – A scheduled change to the Pennsylvania Lottery’s Match 6 Lotto game will mean fewer advance draws will be available for purchase after the June 1, 2017, drawing.
 
Match 6 Lotto tickets may normally be purchased up to 26 draws, or 13 weeks, in advance. After the June 1 drawing, the number of advance draws available for purchase will continue to decrease by one, after each drawing, until the August 28 drawing is held.
 
Tickets for an updated Match 6 game will go on sale immediately after the August 28 drawing. Details will be announced later this summer and the game’s $2 ticket price will not change.
 
Versions of Match 6 Lotto have been offered almost continuously since 2004, with a brief break from March 2009 to June 2010.
 
How to Play Match 6 Lotto: Players pay $2 and choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or have their numbers randomly selected by computer. The computer will then randomly select an additional two sets of six numbers, for three lines of six numbers each or 18 numbers total. Players can win up to four times on each ticket – once on each of three lines (base play) and by combining all 18 numbers (combined play). Match 6 is drawn on Monday and Thursday evenings.
