Middletown, PA – Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 jackpots were won over the weekend in Allegheny, Columbia and Philadelphia counties.
 
One jackpot-winning ticket was sold at Brewski’s Beer Distributing, 908 Little Deer Creek Valley Road, Russellton, Allegheny County, for the Saturday, January 20, Cash 5 drawing. It matched all five balls, 08-10-18-27-29, to win $500,000, less withholding. The retailer earns a $500 selling bonus.
 
On Sunday, January 21, two tickets sold by Boyer’s Food Market, 125 E. 3rd St., Berwick, Columbia County; and Sunoco, 500 W. Erie Ave., Philadelphia split a $125,000 Cash 5 jackpot. Each ticket matched all five balls, 28-30-34-35-36, to each win $62,500, less withholding.
 
Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the drawing date. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.
 
More than 55,900 other Cash 5 tickets won prizes of various amounts in the January 20 and 21 drawings. Players should check every ticket, every time. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.
 
How to play Cash 5: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 is drawn each evening and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 962,598; the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 10.5.
