Largest PA Lottery Fast Play Top Prize Over $1.5 Million Sold in Clearfield County

Middletown, PA — A progressive top prize-winning ticket worth more than $1.5 million for the Pennsylvania Lottery’s Extreme Green game was sold at Goodmans Foodliner, 335 State St., Curwensville, Clearfield County, on Tuesday, April 16. This is the largest progressive top prize won on a Pennsylvania Lottery Fast Play game since Fast Play was launched in February 2017.

Goodmans Foodliner receives a $10,000 bonus for selling the big winning ticket.

Extreme Green is the Pennsylvania Lottery’s first $20 Fast Play game that offers 20 progressive top prizes starting at $200,000.

“By launching Fast Play more than two years ago, the Pennsylvania Lottery introduced new games offering players the chance to win prizes without scratching a ticket or waiting for a drawing,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “We’re seeing these types of games growing in popularity in Pennsylvania. Providing new games for our players helps the Lottery meet its goal of responsibly generating funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.”

Fast Play was the Lottery’s first entirely new game category introduced since scratch-off tickets premiered in 1975. The Lottery’s first draw game went on sale in March of 1972.

Fast Play games print on-demand from a Lottery sales terminal or self-service touch-screen vending terminal. Retailers may not print Fast Play games in advance; tickets must be generated at the time of purchase.
To see if they’ve won a prize, players can review the ticket, or scan it at a Lottery retailer or with the ticket checker feature on the Lottery’s official mobile app. The holder of a top-prize winning Fast Play ticket should immediately sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.

Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before winners can be identified. Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of the ticket’s purchase date. All lottery prizes more than $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding. Visit palottery.com to review rules, chances of winning and learn how to play Fast Play games.
