Mega Millions® Ticket Worth $5 Million Sold in Pittsburgh

Middletown, PA – An Allegheny County supermarket sold a winning Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions® with Megaplier® ticket worth $5 million for the Tuesday, May 21, drawing.

The ticket matched all five white balls drawn, 10-50-55-56-58, but not the yellow Mega Ball 15, to win $5 million, less applicable withholding. It was sold with the $1 Megaplier option, which boosted the prize to $5 million instead of $1 million, because the multiplier drawn was five.

Giant Eagle in McIntyre Square, 8050 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, earns a $10,000 selling bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. The ticket holder should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office. Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions prizes expire one year from the drawing date.

More than 38,500 other PA Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including 8,301 tickets purchased with Megaplier. To learn how to play Mega Millions® with the Megaplier click here. Players should check every ticket, every time.

Because no jackpot-winning ticket was sold for the May 21 drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $393 million, or $244.2 million cash, for the Friday, May 24 drawing. Mega Millions is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Visit palottery.com for details on how to play.
