Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® Ticket Worth $100,000 Sold in Philadelphia

10/5/2021
Middletown, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Philadelphia sold a Powerball® with Power Play® ticket worth $100,000 for the Monday, October 4 drawing.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 12-22-54-66-69, and the red Powerball® 15 to win $100,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play® option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play® multiplier drawn was two.

Lukoil, 4421 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, earns a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. The holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket and contact the nearest Lottery office.

More than 148,900 other PA Lottery Powerball® tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 30,600 tickets purchased with Power Play® and more than 13,700 tickets purchased with Double Play®. Players should check every ticket, every time.

A jackpot-winning Powerball® ticket for the October 4 drawing was sold in California. The jackpot-winning ticket, worth an estimated annuity value of $699.8 million or an estimated cash option of $496 million, is the fifth-largest in Powerball® history and seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history. The jackpot had been rolling since June 5, when the last jackpot worth $285.6 million was won in Florida.

Powerball® launched Monday draws on August 23, and this is the first jackpot won on the newest draw day. In Pennsylvania, in addition to Power Play®, Powerball® players can also purchase Double Play®, a new optional feature that gives players another chance to win with their Powerball® numbers in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million.

Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
