Estimated Powerball® Jackpot $935 million; $449.7 million cash value for Saturday’s drawing.

Middletown, PA – The Pennsylvania Lottery recently awarded a prize worth $1 million on a Powerball® ticket to a player from Delaware County who purchased the ticket online for the Wednesday, March 27 drawing.
The ticket matched five of the five white balls drawn, 37-46-57-60-66, but not the red Powerball® 8, to win $1 million, less applicable withholding.
Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit for more information about how to file a claim.
More than 117,600 other PA Lottery Powerball® tickets won prizes of various amounts in Wednesday’s drawing, including more than 20,800 tickets purchased with Power Play® and more than 9,500 tickets purchased with Double Play®. Players should check every ticket, every time.
“With this jackpot rolling, it’s creating a lot of buzz, plus offering up the opportunity to dream big,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “In Pennsylvania, tickets are selling at a rate of more than $1,400 each minute and that’s also exciting for our older population, who benefits from proceeds generated by game sales like these.”

In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated more than $70 million in sales, creating a profit of more than $28 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

This is the first time in 2024 that the Powerball® jackpot has risen above $900 million. The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 1, 2024, by a ticket in Michigan that won a prize worth $842.4 million.
The current record jackpot is $2.04 billion, which was sold in California on November 7, 2022. The last time a Powerball® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was on August 3, 2022.
The Pennsylvania Lottery offers the following additional tips to players:
  • Always check your PA Lottery tickets at the time of purchase. Tickets cannot be canceled, so you should immediately speak to the clerk or manager to resolve any concerns before leaving the store.
  • Always sign the back of your PA Lottery ticket. This will help prevent someone else from trying to cash it in the event your PA Lottery ticket becomes lost or stolen, or if someone tries to scratch out, white out or change your signature.
  • Never post your winning ticket on social media. This will prevent someone else from trying to cash your winning ticket. Claim your prize first and then share your story!
Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
The Lottery is also reminding its players that March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. There are free and confidential resources available for those who may be suffering from gambling-related harms, including the free and confidential helpline 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537). Players can also reach out via, where they can access the helpline by phone, text, or chat.
