Anyone age 65 or older can ride fixed-route public transit or commuter rail at no cost. Those 65 and older also qualify to use on-demand, shared-ride services at a reduced rate.
In 2021-22, more than $138.9 million in Lottery funds provided for over 20.6 million free transit rides and more than 2.0 million shared rides.
On average last year, the Lottery helped provide more than 62,000 free and reduced-fare shared rides for older Pennsylvanians, every day.
