Bucks County Woman Wins More than $1.29 Million on Pennsylvania Lottery Fast Play

“This win couldn’t have happened at a better time,” said Marilyn D. of Bucks County who won $1,291,156.50 playing the Pennsylvania Lottery Fast Play game, Diamond Mine. She purchased the ticket from a local Wawa. “I don’t play Fast Play much, but my daughter-in-law’s name is Diamond so I decided to play Diamond Mine when I saw the jackpot was over $1 million,” said Marilyn. “I play the Lottery every day and you don’t think that anyone actually wins. I really can’t believe it happened.” “My initial instinct, when I saw the numbers come up, put me into flight or flight mode – I threw the ticket in my purse and I ran out the door,” Marilyn explained while laughing. “My husband didn’t pick up [when I called him], but my son did. My heart was racing, my legs felt weak, that’s when he told me to sit down. I was so excited, I danced down the street!” Marilyn said she and her husband own a small business and had fallen on hard times. She said that the day before she bought the ticket, she had taken out a small business loan. Now they plan to put money into their business, save for retirement, and travel. “The best part has been to be able to sleep at night. Now we have invested money for our future, given a little to our children, and have a trip planned for my birthday,” said Marilyn. “I don’t think it’s hit us yet. Right now, we just want to realize it all for a minute, it’s really incredible.” Congratulations, Marilyn and thank you for playing!
