*Liability caps: The prize amount won playing Keno may be pari-mutuel. The maximum prize payout for a single Keno drawing for each prize category is $2 million. The Keno Multiplier, if selected, is applied to all eligible prizes, at each level, after the pari-mutuel shares of each base prize have been determined for each draw.

FAQ

Q: What is Keno?

A: Keno is a fun, fast-paced game drawn every four minutes! Players choose how many numbers to match and the amount of money to play. Players can watch the drawing results on a monitor, or can visit the Keno webpage to see an animated depiction of the drawing they played.

Q: How do you play Keno?

A: Players pick up to 10 numbers, or SPOTS, from 1-80. The Lottery's computer draws 20 numbers at random. The more SPOTS you match, the more you can win! Follow these steps to fill out a Keno playslip:

  • Choose how many SPOTS to match for a drawing.
  • Select the amount to play (between $1 and $20) for each drawing.
  • Select the number of consecutive drawings to play.
  • Choose the number(s) to play (from 1 to 80) based on the number of SPOTS selected, or mark the Quick Pick box to let the terminal randomly select the numbers for you.
At the Lottery terminal, insert your payment in the payment area before inserting your completed Keno playslip into the playslip reader. Your Keno ticket will dispense. Remember to scan the ticket after the drawing to learn if you have won a prize. Good luck!

Q: How much does it cost to play Keno?

A: Players can spend $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20 per play, and prizes increase as the play amount increases. The cost of play does not change based on how many SPOTS are selected.

Q: What is the Keno Multiplier?

A: The optional Keno Multiplier feature multiplies the prize for a winning play by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X. Adding the Keno Multiplier option triples the cost of a play. Just before each drawing, the Keno Multiplier wheel appears on the Keno monitor. It spins and stops to reveal the multiplier that will apply for that drawing.

Q: How do you win?

A: Every four minutes, the Lottery’s computer randomly generates 20 winning numbers. There are a variety of ways to win based on matching some, all, or in some cases, none of the numbers. Players can spend $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20 per play, and prizes increase as the play amount increases. Scan your Keno ticket to determine if it is a winner.

Q: What are the prizes?

A: See the Keno prizes and chances tab above to see the prizes that can be won playing Keno.

Q: How do players claim a Keno prize?

A: Keno prizes may be claimed at any Pennsylvania Lottery retailer.

Q: Where is Keno played?
