On Saturday, December 23, one Powerball® with Power Play® winning ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 9-14-17-18-53, and the red Powerball® 6 to win $150,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play® option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play® multiplier drawn was three.
Congratulations to Wild Cherry Market, 4117 Main St., Whitehall, Lehigh County, who earned a $500 bonus after selling the winning ticket from the December 23 drawing.
Then on Monday, December 25, one Powerball® winning ticket matched five of the five white balls drawn, 5-12-20-24-29, to win $1 million, less applicable withholding.
Congratulations to R & S Service Center, 535 York St., Gettysburg, Adams County, who earned a $5,000 bonus after selling the winning ticket from the December 25 drawing.
In both drawings, more than 150,700 other PA Lottery Powerball® tickets won prizes of various amounts, including 32,700 tickets purchased with Power Play® and 14,400 tickets purchased with Double Play®.
As mentioned above, the Powerball® jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $685 million, or $344.7 million cash, for the next drawing Wednesday, December 27.
Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit
palottery.com for more information about how to file a claim.
Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets
online or by visiting a
