Several Pennsylvania Lottery Prizes Soon to Expire
Players Reminded to ‘Check Every Ticket, Every Time’
Middletown – Pennsylvania Lottery players, check your tickets: several prize-winning tickets are nearing their one-year expiration dates. They are:
• A $50,000 jackpot-winning mid-day Quinto ticket sold at Hess, 1801 Hunting Park Ave., Philadelphia, for the June 30, 2013 drawing. The winning numbers drawn were: 7-9-7-9-3. A claim must be filed with the Lottery by Monday, June 30, 2014.
• A $100,000 prize-winning Millionaire Raffle ticket sold at Sheetz, 2300 Colonial Road, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, for the July 6, 2013 drawing. The winning numbers drawn were: 00202345. Because the expiration date for this prize falls on a weekend, a claim must be filed with the Lottery by Thursday, July 3, 2014.
All final prize amounts will be less 25 percent federal withholding.
“We want all players to check every ticket, every time,” said Lottery Executive Director Sil Lutkewitte. “We do not want to see any prize-winning ticket go unclaimed.”
By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.
Players may check their own tickets using self-service scanners located at retailers and also found on Lottery self-service play terminals. The Lottery reminds players to sign tickets immediately upon their purchase for proof of ownership.
The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages claimants to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a timely claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices and from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at headquarters.
