The estimated Powerball® Jackpot $1.09 billion; $527.3 million cash value for Wednesday’s drawing.

Middletown, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Berks County sold a Powerball® with Power Play® ticket worth $100,000 for the Monday, April 1 drawing, as the jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $1.09 billion, or $527.3 million cash, for the next drawing Wednesday, April 3.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 19-24-40-42-56, and the red Powerball® 23 to win $100,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play® option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play® multiplier drawn was two.

South Mountain Beer Distributing, 5104 Penn Avenue, Wernersville, will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit palottery.com for more information about how to file a claim.

More than 153,200 other PA Lottery Powerball® tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 27,200 tickets purchased with Power Play® and more than 12,900 tickets purchased with Double Play®. Players should check every ticket, every time.

In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated more than $84 million in sales, creating a profit of more than $33 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

Additionally, as of Tuesday morning tickets were selling at an estimated rate of $1,400 each minute.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 1, 2024, by a ticket in Michigan that won a prize worth $842.4 million.

The current record jackpot is $2.04 billion, which was sold in California on November 7, 2022. The last time a Powerball® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was on August 3, 2022.

The Pennsylvania Lottery offers the following additional tips to players:
  • Always check your PA Lottery tickets at the time of purchase. Tickets cannot be canceled, so you should immediately speak to the clerk or manager to resolve any concerns before leaving the store.
  • Always sign the back of your PA Lottery ticket. This will help prevent someone else from trying to cash it in the event your PA Lottery ticket becomes lost or stolen, or if someone tries to scratch out, white out or change your signature.
  • Never post your winning ticket on social media. This will prevent someone else from trying to cash your winning ticket. Claim your prize first and then share your story!
Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
