Playing the Powerball in Pennsylvania is as easy as 1-2-3 with ticket purchase options available in-store or online for Saturday’s $1.23 billion annuity, $595.1 million cash jackpot.

Middletown, PA – The Powerball® jackpot is now $1.23 billion ($595.1 million cash value) ahead of Saturday’s drawing and ranks as the fourth largest in the Powerball® game and eighth largest among U.S. lottery jackpots.

Powerball’s jackpot has been climbing, but not without awarding some prizes in Pennsylvania along the way. Last night’s drawing produced two winning tickets each worth $150,000. One winning ticket was sold in Indiana County and the other was purchased at a Lottery retailer in Westmoreland County.

The winning tickets were sold by One 1 Stop Smoke Shop, 18 East Market St., Blairsville, Indiana County, and Sheetz, 7821 Route 30, Irwin, Westmoreland County. Each retailer will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

The two Powerball® with Power Play® tickets each matched four of the five white balls drawn, 11-38-41-62-65, and the red Powerball® 15 to win $150,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play® option, the tickets would have been worth $50,000 each. The Power Play® multiplier drawn was three.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit palottery.com for more information about how to file a claim.

More than 201,200 other PA Lottery Powerball® tickets won prizes of various amounts in Wednesday’s drawing, including more than 34,600 tickets purchased with Power Play® and more than 17,300 tickets purchased with Double Play®. Players should check every ticket, every time.

In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated more than $93 million in sales, creating a profit of more than $37 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

Additionally, as of Thursday morning tickets were selling at an estimated rate of $1,200 each minute.
The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 1, 2024, by a ticket in Michigan that won a prize worth $842.4 million.

The current record jackpot is $2.04 billion, which was sold in California on November 7, 2022. The last time a Powerball® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was on August 3, 2022.

The Pennsylvania Lottery offers the following additional tips to players:
  • Always check your PA Lottery tickets at the time of purchase. Tickets cannot be canceled, so you should immediately speak to the clerk or manager to resolve any concerns before leaving the store.
  • Always sign the back of your PA Lottery ticket. This will help prevent someone else from trying to cash it in the event your PA Lottery ticket becomes lost or stolen, or if someone tries to scratch out, white out or change your signature.
  • Never post your winning ticket on social media. This will prevent someone else from trying to cash your winning ticket. Claim your prize first and then share your story!
Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
